WHETHER you're interested in bushwalking through Central America on your honeymoon or you'd prefer to relax on a Gold Coast beach, the staff at Thomas Cook can help you plan an itinerary to meet all your needs.
``We start with what aspects the couple wants in a honeymoon," Thomas Cook Wollongong branch manager Julie Malone said.
``Do they want to lie on the beach? Would they prefer a bit of adventure? Do they want a first-class hotel?"
The consulting staff at Thomas Cook work with couples, within their budgets, to plan and book honeymoons that suit them.
``We have very experienced sales consultants," Ms Malone said.
``I think part of being a sales consultant in travel is being able to determine what would suit people."
Thomas Cook specialises in trips within Australia as well as overseas.
It has even arranged overseas weddings for a few couples.
The most important part of any planning process is always the couple, though.
``Many honeymooners, prefer to lie on the beach and have a nice relaxing interlude together, but a lot of people like to get out there as well and do something very different after the stress of the wedding," Ms Malone said.
About half of the couples who consult her have a destination in mind when they come in. The other half are still brainstorming for ideas for their perfect getaway.
``You can use your imagination in the sense of offering them what would be suitable," she said.
``There's a lot of things out there that people don't even know they can do. New places, new holiday destinations that become really popular.
``It's fun to give those ideas to people as well."
